The District and daughter lodges have at all times exercise the cardinal virtue of our fraternity, which is to give relief to those in need. Against this background, the District regularly provide relief to Institutions, organisations, brethren, individuals, religious organisations and other deserving causes:

In the recent past, the District has been the proud supporter of the following:
- · As part of its response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, with matching funds from the Grand Lodge of Scotland Covid-19 Challenge Fund District Grand Lodge made a presentation of medical supplies to the 34 Military Hospital to the tune of £2,800 on 30th September 2020, and to;
- · Makambo Village, Makeni, Northern Sierra Leone, donation of food items, materials and supplies totaling approximately £ 1,200. Makambo Village is home to Wusum Temple. The presentation was done on 19th December 2020.
- · Children’s Christmas Fete – The annual hosting of the Children Christmas Fete is a major event in the calendar of the District. Less privileged children from the immediate vicinity of the Georgacland Masonic Temple are invited to a fete during which they are feasted and presented with yuletide gifts of toy and school items. This annual event usually spearheaded in person by the Right Worshipful District Grand Master continues to be a constant feature in the calendar of the District Grand Lodge.
- · Gambia Organisation of the Visually Impaired (GOVI) – As part of its outreach program, the District Grand Lodge has for the past several years visited GOVI and made annual donations varying from US$500 to US$1,000, during annual visits to Lodge St. Mary’s 1711 to attend their Annual Installation Meeting.
- · St. George’s Home / Old People`s Home – St George’s Home/Old People’s Home has been an annual recipient of a purse from the District Grand Lodge for the past several years.
- · Donation of £270 to the “Go Fund Me” Appeal for the purchase of a “Quality ECG Machine and one year necessary consumables for the Intensive Care Unit of Connaught Hospital in August 2022.
- · CANCER UK-SALONE CHARITY received Le10,000 (approximately US$500) in February 2023, during their launching on World Cancer Day on 4th February 2023.
- · Masonic Benevolence – Through the Masonic Benevolence and Freemasonry Cares Fund, the District Grand Lodge has been able to attend to its own. Quite recently, two masons received financial assistance and support in connection with medical treatment in Senegal and Kenya.
- · Over the years, we have contributed substantially to the Government’s fight against EBOLA. In 2015 Le 50,000,000/ (Fifty Million Leones) was donated as part of District Grand Lodge’s contribution in the fight. Likewise in 2017, a donation in cash and supplies was made to mudslide victims in August 2017. We have also donated to the School for the Blind, Mentally retarded, Deaf and Dumb and Children’s Home.During this special occasion of the visit of the Most Worshipful Grand Master Mason, we have directed our support to the Cancer UK-SALONE Charity, with focus on Prostate diseases and
