JOINT STATEMENT BY THE HEADS OF THE THREE CONSTITUTIONS WITH RESPECT TO THE RESUMPTION OF MASONIC ACTIVITIES IN SIERRA LEONE*

Brethren may recall that on 11th March 2020, the leadership of the District Grand Lodge of Sierra Leone and the Gambia(SC), District Grand Lodge of Sierra Leone and the Gambia (EC) and the Irish Inspectorate in Sierra Leone met to discuss the way forward amidst the emergence of the Covid19 pandemic. The decision was to suspend all Masonic activities with effect of that date until the situation subsides.

The Goverment of Sierra Leone has lifted several restrictions which allowed Churches, Mosques and other social entities to participate in their activities with rigid adherence to established Covid19 government protocols.

With the approval of The Grand Lodges of Scotland and Ireland and the United Grand Lodge of England, the leadership of District Grand Lodge of Scotland, England and the Inspectorate of Ireland have decided on the following:

1. General Committee meetings will resume in the month of August 2020

2  Regular meetings will resume on 1st September 2020.

Please note that a comprehensive set of individual guidelines for each constitution based on the guidelines prescribed by the three Grand Lodges and the Government of Sierra Leone have been circulated separately
